How to choose your football cleats?
MAKE YOUR CHOICE OF FOOTBALL SHOES BASED ON THE TYPE OF TERRAIN
The choice of crampons is very important in the practice of your favorite activity. Here is a simple guide that will allow you to choose your football boots correctly
What you need to know: there are several types of plate (studded soles) that allow you to play on this or that type of terrain. The choice of your shoes will therefore be made according to the type of ground on which you play.
CLEATS CHOICE
FG - Firm Ground

Highly recommended, ensures good grip, light soles and high conical or slatted studs that provide good support, whatever your style.
MG - Multi Ground

Appropriate, because it incorporates the characteristics of the FG range and adds a larger number of studs, which makes it possible to compensate for the loss due to the height of the studs, which are lower than on the FG.
AG - Artificial Grass

Not recommended, the pair can help you out if you don't really have a choice, but you will lose grip because the crampons are too small and your support will be less secure.
TYPE OF GROUND: Lawn - Soft ground
CLEATS CHOICE
SG - Soft Ground

Highly recommended, it is the ideal pair for this type of terrain. Thanks to its grip, its aluminum studs for support, everything is done to release your style without worrying about the playing conditions.
FG - Firm Ground

Appropriate, because it can be used on dry natural surfaces, this range will give you correct grip and stable support. However, in case of rain, watch out for slips!
MG - Multi Ground

Not recommended, although it is hybrid, the small size of the studs and their distribution on the sole will not help you in your game because the stability of your support will be minimal.
CLEATS CHOICE
AG - Artificial Grass

Highly recommended, nothing better, they are made for that. Synthetic pitches are more abrasive, no worries, on this range a multitude of crampons reduce wear. The conical crampons allow changes of direction in complete freedom and without risk to the joints.
MG/FG - Multi Ground/Firm Ground

Suitable for MG, the characteristics of each plate will allow you to have endurance, stability and lightness even on this type of terrain. However, on the FG range, beware of the slat studs which will wear out very quickly and can sometimes interfere with changes of direction.
TF - Turf

Not recommended, or else you have to temper. Certainly, in training condition, no worries, a Turf will do, however if it rains, the height of the artificial grass will make you lose grip and stability, making your movements more difficult.
CLEATS CHOICE
TF - Turf

Highly recommended, lightness, comfort and flexibility, this range is perfect for your five on old generation synthetic. The very small and numerous crampons offer you disconcerting grip and flexibility and support your joints to put less strain on them.
AG - Artificial Grass

Appropriate, similar characteristics to the Turf, except that these cleats here are a little higher, so comfort will be impacted a bit, but nothing to lose your football.
FG/MG - Firm Ground/Multi Ground

⚠ To be avoided, these ranges present 2 major risks: A technical problem first, because these grounds are abrasive and will accelerate the wear of your crampons, and therefore the lifespan of your pair. Second problem, and the most dangerous, these ranges have spikes that are too high which, on this type of surface, will considerably increase the risk of injury. ⚠
CLEATS CHOICE
TF - Turf

Highly recommended, this type of terrain has even given its name to these crampons that everyone calls "stabilized". A large number of small crampons allow you to keep your support and grip well on this type of surface.
CLEATS CHOICE
IC/IN - Indoor Court

Highly recommended, these pairs have no studs, and therefore adhere perfectly to Futsal pitches and asphalt, thanks to technologies specific to each brand. Often light and flexible, it gives great freedom of movement.
TF - Turf

Appropriate, but the small crampons will make you lose explosiveness by hanging on the ground, but no worries about cushioning your support thanks to the quantity of crampons under your soles.
